In June, the club will discuss Rick Bragg’s The Speckled Beauty. Bragg adds to his Southern storytelling writings with this devotional to his dog, Speck, and how they rescued each other at their best and worst of times. In July, our monthly fiction reading book club will meet to discuss Joy Jordan-Lake’s Under a Gilded Moon. The novel weaves together diverse characters, in the setting of the construction of the historic Biltmore Estate; ambition, privilege, wealth, and the tumultuous 1890’s challenges lives and futures. Registration for the book club is required, so we can reserve you a reading copy.
